Canonization Process Moving Along for John Paul II

According to this article from Catholic World News, the process of canonization is moving along quite well for John Paul II, our great beloved pope. There are 3 miracles under investigation currently, with many more being reported. The first step is a review of John Paul II’s life and works to confirm his life of “heroic virtue”. Next, in order to declare him “blessed”, at least one confirmed miracle must be attributed to him. A second miracle occurring after the beatification must be confirmed in order to declare him an officially recognized saint.

Pope John Paul II was a great leader for our Church, who during his life contributed vast understanding on issues such as love, chastity, truth, the value of work and human dignity. The impact that this great man of God had on our faith and our knowledge is tremendous. Hopefully, his cause will proceed with great rapidity.
